The Eco-Kings Action Team is a committee of the Kings Community Economic Development Agency, dedicated to working on locally relevant sustainability and environmental issues in Kings County. The Eco-Kings Action Team is made up of representatives from the Eastern Habitat Joint Ventures, the Eastern Kings Chamber of Commerce, the Kings Community Economic Development Agency, the Municipality of the County of Kings, the Town of Berwick, the Town of Kentville, the Town of Wolfville and Valley Waste Resource Management.

Anti Idling Day

The Eco-Kings Action Team has been working on joint environmental initiatives this year.  The Eco-Kings Action Team will be conducting a county-wide Anti-Idling Day on April 5, 2008 throughout Kings County.  Members of the Eco-Kings Action Team and volunteers will be distributing educational materials and conducting a short survey to raise awareness of the anti-idling message in our County.  Reducing vehicle idling is a positive and easy way to reduce harmful emissions and save money at the same time.
